Kids, not goats

I have already fallen at the first hurdle as I missed my first target of posting every Sunday, still if this goes out this week than I will be happy given the long gap between post prior to this.

Conscious that whenever someone visits that we havenโ€™t seen for a while comments on how the kids have grown then I thought it might be a good idea to let then be the stars of this post. More picture, less writing Smile

Then it turns out that looking through recent pictures turned out to be more time consuming than writing, still here’s a selection from recent weeks.

Of course everything that happens is a lesson, but occasionally we manage to get them to sit at the table and do some scholastic tasks ๐Ÿ™‚

Can we be twins please?

As you may imagine this moment of cooperation and coordination only lasted a short time ๐Ÿ™‚

The barn remains the favourite spot for play, a bath that collects water and a sand and gravel pit that I use for mixing concrete hold a magnetic charm ๐Ÿ™‚

With such good weather we have spent a lot of time outside, making fires to bake potatoes and cook the occasional sausage ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, thats two post is two weeks, maybe more ahead as I think it might rain later in the week ๐Ÿ™‚ Take care and stay safe all.

  1. I love your high-tech bbq ๐Ÿ™‚ Girls grow so fast! And two year ago, my girls wanted to dress the same! Helmi was only 2 and even she wanted the same dress as sisters!

  2. The last photos I think you posted your youngest was just a baby! I couldn’t believe how much they’ve grown and changed. SOO darling! They look so different from each other! Thanks for posting these pics of your two sweethearts!

PS. Don’t drink any bleach please! god help us here!

      1. Yes, thank your lucky stars for that! What is your recipe for your non toxic disinfectant?..You know..it case we have to drink it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry! I’ll refrain from any trump jokes here..but it’ll be difficult! If we didn’t make light of it now and then, we would all be jumping off bridges. Well, not all of us obviously…that’s the part that’s really scary. Ok, I’ll quit..but seriously, send my your recipe for the cleaner. I use mostly baking soda and vinegar! ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. You hit the nail on the head, vinigar is king around here, citric acid and soda as well as borax substitute. You can make most things with this arsenal at your disposal. We have seen the light (just dont try and put it inside you) ๐Ÿ™‚

      3. Only if it’s a “very very strong light”…or ultraviolet light would be even better!

  3. Just love the pictures of your girls – itโ€™s so long since we saw them (Iโ€™m a sucker for little girls anyway but yours look adorable). My friend Ilze in Latvia (you know her; she bought some of your soap) sometimes sends me pictures of her three, Nelle, Linna and Helmฤซ, including โ€˜home schoolingโ€™ especially of her eldest, Nelle, who is 8, and also tackling violin lessons.
If you do every Sunday youโ€™ll be doing very well; not โ€˜allowedโ€™ to leave home now, Iโ€™m posting more frequently. Ilze has given up on her blog completely but I โ€˜chatโ€™ to her a few times a week on Messenger, the only other โ€˜social mediaโ€™ I use.
At one time she and her husband Jฤnis thought of building a straw bale house but now theyโ€™ve bought a 120 year old โ€˜wreckedโ€™ basically timber house in the woods close to where they live now; they reckon it will take them 5 years to make it habitable, let alone โ€˜zeroโ€™ that theyโ€™re aiming at.
Thanks for the like on one of my recent posts. I thought memories would be stirred if you saw them.
    Take care. Stay safe.

  4. Well, that was a nice surprise. Great to see your little helpers again, before the next photo we saw was of their weddings! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ I reckon that barbecue would be a best-seller here. A ‘Retro-Primitive Lockdown Grill’, sold at a premium price.
    Cheers, Pete.
